How Long Do Lash Lifts Last?

The generic answer is: Lash lifts usually lasts anywhere from 6-8 weeks on average, but this can vary depending on several factors: including your metabolism rate which will affect the length of your lash cycle, as well as at which stage of your lash cycle you did your lash lift at and of course, the skills of the technician!

The lashes won’t all straighten out at the same time but you will see some straight lashes (new growth) come through as the weeks come by, while the lashes which we have already lifted should 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘺𝘤𝘭𝘦 and fall off naturally.

Metabolism rate

Those clients with a higher metabolism rate will see their lashes growing out quicker=falling out quicker which means their lash lifts won’t last as long. One indication would be how quickly your nails grow! Younger clientele also tend to have a higher metabolism rate.

The Stage of your Lash Cycle

If you are getting your lashes lifted when most of your lashes are at its (Anagen cycle) aka the mature cycle, you will get a very beautiful lift as mature lashes are usually long and thick however they will fall out quicker since they are already at the end of its cycle and ready to fall off so new and healthier lashes can grow🌱

The Skill of the Lash Technician

Experience also come into play when deciding a suitable processing time for the lash lift lotion. Too little time can lead to a weak curl that will not last as long and extended processing time can lead to overprocessing which can overcurl and fry your lashes which we will discuss further in our future post!
