How to tell the if your extensions is done properly/good quality?
- comfort level
- distance from skin
- checking the extensions after they have fallen out
1. Comfort level
Unfortunately, one of the most obvious signs that your extensions are not done properly immediately after is that you experience a lot of discomfort or any heaviness. This is due to the extensions applied too close or even applied onto your skin. Correct application distance of extensions from your skin should be 0.5-1mm. It should not touch the skin at all. When done properly, you should feel like you don’t have anything on!
But does this mean that your extensions is good quality just because it feels comfortable right after? The answer is NO.
2. Distance from skin

If the extensions is applied too close to skin, it can lead to discomfort comfort. However, if the extensions is applied too far from the skin, it will not be as lasting (and even a fresh set would look like how it’d usually look after 2-3 weeks of having a proper set done) and put a lot of weight on the tip of your natural lashes. This however is hard to check it yourself.
3. Checking the extensions after they have fallen out
Lastly, the best time to check the quality of the extensions is once they have fallen out from your eyes. This will tell you whether the right amount of glue is used and also whether the technician has applied the extensions onto your natural lashes individually. The base of the extensions should be slim and should not look chunky with glue. At the same time, only one natural lash should be attached to the extensions at every one time (be it classic or volume). Your natural lashes should not fall out in chunks.

Incorrect done-more than one natural lash attach

Properly done-only one natural lash attached
